The non-governmental organisation AGERTO (a German-Togolese association) is committed to positive and sustainable development in Togo. AGERTO offers free training for young people in the three centres in Kpalimé, Akpakpakpé near Notsé and Kemeni near Sokodé. Orphans, street children, disadvantaged young people but also those with a criminal record and young people with physical or mental disabilities have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in the professions of tailor, blacksmith, carpenter and weaver. After three years, they complete a nationally recognised professional examination and receive a diploma. To start their career, we provide them with a machine to successfully start their own business.
